My name is David Johnson. I’ve owned Johnson’s Automotive, a repair facility in Charleston, IL, for over 22 years.

I don’t claim to know it all when it comes to operating a shop, but I’ve survived “Cash for Clunkers”, 2 wars, 3 recessions, and recently an economic bomb dropped by the reaction to covid-19.

That said, if there is one person I would ask for advice when it comes to operating my business it would be Matt Winslow.

I’ve known and worked with Matt for over 12 years. When I first met him, I found him confident and entertaining. One thing that impressed me during his presentation was his disdain for excuses and inaccuracies. Matt’s sole purpose for the seminar was to open the eyes of the attendees. His goal was to cut through the limiting perceptions shop owners had and give them effective tools they could use right away to build their businesses.

His totally honest and direct approach was incredibly refreshing.

For years I’ve watched Matt successfully help shop owners grow; training them how to be better at what they do so they can reach their dreams. Matt never stops looking for an easier, more effective way to achieve these goals. More importantly he never stops trying to discover what clients truly want to gain: more money, more free time, and personal growth. His ability to never accept the status quo and challenge commonly taught theory that doesn’t actually work, is the secret to his success, and the success of his clients.
